Dogs do speak to us and communicate what they need but for those not trained to understand that language, it can seem like life with your dog will always be chaotic.

The struggle is real; daily walks are a battle of the wills, behavior in public is embarrassing or worrisome and guests are met at the door with a bombardment of excessive barking. You may be feeling discouraged because you’ve tried a few things but nothing seems to do the trick and now you’re just left feeling frustrated. I get it.

Your dog’s behavior affects every part of your daily life and I believe that a well-behaved dog isn’t just a dream, it’s absolutely a realistic goal that we can bring to fruition. It IS possible for you and your dog to have peace and happiness together in your home and your life.

As a positive-rewards trainer who has been in the industry for almost 20 years, I can offer a balanced, healthy approach to help you and your pup thrive! Each custom training plan I create is designed to build confidence, establish clear communication and create a lasting connection between you and your canine companion. I offer several types of training, including, but not limited to:

  • Foundational Basics (Basic to Advanced Obedience: Puppy-Adult): Learn basic training commands along with your pup and implement them during daily life to live in a more peaceful, controlled manner and establish a pack leadership alpha role with your dog. This also includes recall and off-leash training, as no one should have to worry about their dog taking off and not coming back to them.

  • Behavior Modification: I address specific challenges such as: leash reactivity, separation anxiety, generalized anxiety, excessive barking, destructive tendencies, attention-seeking, and aggression with tailored plans that target the root cause of the behavior and establish a plan to eliminate it.

  • Leash Skills: It is possible for you to take a relaxing walk with your dog without being pulled down or tearing your rotator cuff. I will show you how to get your dog to respect your leadership role while on the leash in the proper heel position. Your pup will learn how to successfully walk with dynamic, in a safe, controlled manner.
