Christa

I am the owner of The Pet Guardians, and a certified professional dog trainer working in the pet care industry for 20+ years.

I began by working at a veterinarian’s office where I was introduced to the world of rescuing. After I began to foster and rescue dogs and cats, I became a trainer to better understand my own dogs' needs better, and to give them the best life possible.

Over the years I have managed a doggy daycare, worked on a horse farm and have become a very experienced pet sitter for an assortment of different animals. I am the proud mom of a Catahoula Leopard dog mix and a Chihuahua.

The best feeling in the world is going to work every day and not feeling like you’re even working because you love your job so much and know you are making a difference to our most cherished family members!

Nick

I operate the IT side of The Pet Guardians and provide technical support for our clients, support for our team, ongoing quality assurance, as well as spend time with all of my furry friends from time to time! The best part of my day is walking in to excited pups and getting them out for some exercise, and you can be sure that on top of having a blast, they will have songs sung to them every single day!

I worked many years in the communications industry, and in technology before we launched The Pet Guardians, and wouldn't trade my time with your pets for anything!

Hi, my name is Tobias and I’ve always loved animals! All my life I have had dogs and cats at home, and taking care of them has always been very rewarding. The joy of having animals around is priceless and I have always wanted to provide care that reflects that.

I really enjoy meeting new pets and looking after them with the patience and love that they deserve - hopefully I will meet yours too!

I’m currently a sophomore at Nazareth University. I’ve always had animals growing up and always had a strong love for them. I’ve worked at barns with all types of animals. I have a dog named Aussie and two cats named Humphrey & Hugo. I love working with animals because they have a way of making me so happy!

Hi, I’m Michelle and I am excited to be a member of the Pet Guardians team! I come from a long line of animal lovers and grew up watching my mom train our shelties as a child. I have always trained my own dogs, which I truly enjoy. I had my first professional pet sitting job 20 years ago, at my cousin’s business in North Carolina. I also became a Licensed Vet tech around that time. Since then I have traveled and had many experiences, but the love of animals has always remained strong within me. It’s an honor to care for them!

I currently have two dogs, Scout and Bear. They are my constant joy and comfort. I can’t imagine life without animals and the joy they bring me every day. I love going to work and seeing all of my furry friends on a regular basis. It’s always fun and exciting, especially when I meet a new dog or breed. It’s great to be part of such a professional and compassionate team that always puts the animals first!

I started with Pet Guardians an excuse to hang out with puppies, and now I find myself looking forward to coming here more than my 9-5. Coming from a dog pack family where we always had at least 4-5 pups in the home, I always had a natural love for dogs. Top to bottom, from tail wags to my favorite pair of headphones chewed beyond repair, I cant go without the pups for too long. With some training and experience I hope to one day work with dogs full time as a specialist, helping pups with behavior issues get a second chance!

Hi! I am a a long time animal lover from Schenectady NY. I've had many different professional experiences but none were as rewarding as those working with animals! I live with my cat Austin and spend lots of time with my horse Sullivan.

I am passionate about animal welfare and throughout my work as a caretaker have gained experience with all types of animals, from cats and dogs to horses and goats. When I'm not dog walking or spending time with your pets, I'm riding my horse Sullivan. I am excited to meet your pets and show them as much love as you do!

I'm currently a Freshman at Suny Adirondack. My goal is to become a small animal and exotic pet veterinarian. I've always had cats and reptiles growing up and it cultivated a love of animals that made me want to work with them as an adult!
